RAMS

RAMS(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)

RAMS is the system engineering methodology that supports the improvement of system reliability, availability, maintainability and safety by combining the element technology such as test, statistical analysis, reliability engineering and safety engineering etc. and the information technology such as information system, and as general system, equipment and devices are getting larger and complicated, the importance of system engineering is emerging gradually as key methodology

RAMS applies IEC 61508 as basic standard to each industry differently. The technical and procedure requirement related to the analysis, design, implementation, test and maintenance activity necessary for securing the safety is applied differently by safety integrity level by applying IEC 61513 for Nuclear, and DO-178 & DO-254 for Aerospace, EN50126 (IEC 62278), EN50128 (IEC 62279) and EN50129 (IEC 62425) for Railway, and ISO 26262 for Automotive, and ISO 17894 for Marine industry

    ? What is RAMS?

RAMS is the abbreviation of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety, and the technology that supports the improvement of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of system

RAMS is the system engineering methodology that sets the goal of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of system (railway, defense, electric power, nuclear power, plant etc.) and systemizes and performs RAMS activities to accomplish the above goal throughout the whole life cycle

RAMS analysis and operation technology is established to the direction that the global regulation requires the unlimited responsibilities for the reliability and safety and also is the must-have core technology to improve the competitiveness for automotive, railway, machinery, home appliances etc.
